An orthodontic consultation is usually the first step in determining whether there is a need for orthodontic treatment. During this appointment we will usually take into consideration:
- Any patient concerns (appearance, crowded teeth, spacing, etc.)
- Any specific patient requirements
- Perform a facial and oral examination
- Take photographs, scans, X-rays, study models, etc.
- Have a discussion about the most appropriate treatment options, address any concerns, answer any questions and set-out any expectations
- There may be a need for further dental records or other dental treatment to be completed by your general dentist before commencement of orthodontic treatment
Once all the records are assessed a personalised orthodontic treatment plan will be emailed to you with a proposed treatment and financial costings. You are free to consult further and once you are content and committed to commencing treatment we can then set up another appointment to begin orthodontic treatment.
